About Sophie Gardiner

I’m running a website called www.pilotlightwriting.com where I help writers and screenwriters to get their writing done with ease and fun.

After studying Filmmaking and Screenwriting in a cinema school in Paris, I worked for a French TV Production company.

In my twenties, I moved to the UK and worked for Ascent Media, an American Post production company.

My real passion however remained Screenwriting.

About 8 years ago, I met Chris Jones and Lucy V. Hay at the LSF who really convinced me to focus on screenwriting.

So I became a script Judge – screenplay category for the ECU Film Festival, which is an International Film Festival. I did this for five years.

About 4 years ago, my (British) husband passed away and I came back to France (my native country) with my two children and I became a Screenwriting Teacher for both a cinema school and at the University of Normandy.

Between work and kids, I also write screenplays (thrillers) on my own and also with my co-writer Fiona Faith Ross.

With Fiona, somehow we always end up writing comedies.
